Pay test fee
There is a fee of €210 to take the test.
You can pay the total fee of €210 online or by bank transfer.
Identification document (ID)
If you did not upload your identification document (ID) when registering, please email to ielts@dcu.ie as soon as you have registered. IDs must be received no later than 3 days after registering online.
The ID document must be a scanned copy or photograph of a valid current passport or a National Identity Card from a European Union country. If taking a photo, do not use flash.
This must be the ID you will use on the test day.
Your scanned ID must contain:
- your ID number
- your signature
- your date of birth
- your photograph
- your ID expiry date
- scanned identity document must be in colour

Confirmation
Once you have completed and submitted the registration form and paid, we will send you a confirmation email of your test booking and payment. Please note that it can take up to a week to process your application.
About a week before your test date, we will send another email with test times and more detailed information about the test day, including getting here.
Cancellations and transfers
If you need to cancel your test, please contact us as soon as possible. There is an administrative fee of €50 for cancellations made up to five weeks before the date of the written exam. If you cancel less than five weeks before your exam, the full test fee is non-refundable. You can transfer to a different test date up to five weeks before your registered test date. There is an administrative fee of €50 for transfers.
